EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES:
HELMET
A well-fitting helmet is essential for safety. Look for helmets specifically designed for skateboarding, which cover the back of the head and sits above the brows. Ensure the helmet fits snugly and doesn’t move around. Adjustable straps are a plus for a secure fit.
PADS
Knee and elbow pads should have a snug fit without being too tight. Look for pads with good cushioning and hard plastic caps to protect against falls. Wrist guards are mandatory to prevent wrist injuries. It's important to choose wrist guards that have the right curve to fit the wrist properly; avoid those that don't. More padding is recommended, especially for skaters participating in more intermediate/advance skating.

SKATEBOARD
The recommended skateboard for camp is a two-tailed skateboard with grip tape. These skateboards are best for skatepark use. NOTE that penny board, longboards and cruiser boards are not ideal for our program. Please visit our online store to view what a two-tailed skateboard looks like.
